About the recipe

This is a simple, everyday curry. You can add potatoes also if you like.

The ingredients

  • Cauliflower - 1 medium size
  • Onion - 1 medium size
    Peas - 1 cup
    Oil - 3 tbsp
    Chilli powder - 1 tsp
    Turmeric - 1 pinch
    Ginger paste - 1/2 tsp
    Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
    Salt to taste

The process

Preparation Instructions

1. Trim and cut the Caulifower into bite-size florets.
2. Chop the Onion.

Cooking Instructions

1. Take a large saucepan and heat oil over moderate heat.
2. Add onions and saute till they turn translucent.
3. Add chilli powder, turmeric, ginger paste, salt and mix well.
4. Add cauliflower and peas and stir well, add a little water.
5. Cover and cook till the cauliflower florets are tender but not mushy.
6. Add a pinch of garam masala, stir and remove from heat.

Serving Instructions

Serve with rotis or rice.

Variations

You can use "peas and carrots" instead of Peas.
Depending upon your taste, garnishing with Cilantro will add flavor.

    Hi Pooja,
    Wanted to thank you for the recipe. I made it yesterday and the kids were delighted ( they are very picky!). So, it is definitely a delicious and everyday recipe. A few variations: I used peas and carrots (frozen mix) instead of just peas. And in the end I added a garnished the curry with chopped cilantro . I think that helped enhance the flavor.
